TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Event Photography and Commercial Services

Effective date: 19/02/2026


These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of photography services by Corrupted Lens ("the Photographer", "we", "us", "our") to clients ("the Client", "you", "your"). By booking services, making payment, or engaging our services, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms.


1. Scope of Services

1.1 We provide professional event photography services including but not limited to:

  • Corporate events
  • Networking events
  • Conferences
  • Brand launches
  • Community events
  • Commercial functions
  • Promotional events


1.2 The scope of work shall be agreed in writing prior to the event, including:

  • Event date
  • Location
  • Duration of coverage
  • Deliverables
  • Total agreed fee


1.3 We reserve full creative discretion in the manner in which services are performed.



2. Booking and Payment Terms

2.1 A booking is confirmed only once written confirmation has been issued and, where applicable, payment has been received.

2.2 Full payment must be received no later than twenty four (24) hours prior to the event.

2.3 Failure to make payment by this deadline grants us the right to refuse attendance and withhold services without liability.

2.4 If we choose to proceed with coverage despite non payment, no photographs will be released until full payment has been received.

2.5 A late payment fee of twenty five percent (25%) of the total agreed fee shall be added for every seven (7) day period that payment remains outstanding.

2.6 Continued non payment may result in legal recovery action. The Client shall be responsible for any legal fees, court costs and recovery expenses incurred.


3. Delivery of Images

3.1 Edited digital images will be delivered within five (5) working days

unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3.2 Delivery shall be via secure online gallery or digital transfer.

3.3 We are not obliged to deliver every image captured.

3.4 Raw or unedited files will not be provided unless expressly agreed in writing.


4. Copyright and Licensing

4.1 Copyright in all images remains the property of Corrupted Lens in accordance with the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988.

4.2 Unless exclusive ownership is purchased, the Client is granted a non exclusive, non transferable licence for commercial use.

4.3 Exclusive copyright ownership may be purchased for £200. Upon receipt of payment:

  • Full ownership transfers to the Client
  • The Client gains unrestricted usage rights
  • We waive our commercial usage rights subject to Clause 5


4.4 Exclusive ownership is not effective until payment has cleared.


5. Portfolio and Promotional Use

5.1 Where exclusive ownership has not been purchased, we reserve the right to use selected images for:

  • Portfolio
  • Website
  • Social media
  • Marketing materials
  • Publications
  • Competitions
  • Press features


5.2 We may publish images either:

One (1) day after the Client publicly shares the images; or

Fourteen (14) days after delivery if the Client has not publicly shared them.

5.3 Where exclusive ownership has been purchased, we agree to consult with the Client regarding which images, if any, may be used for portfolio or promotional purposes.


6. Social Media Usage

6.1 The Client must not alter, filter, crop, or modify delivered images without written consent unless exclusive ownership has been purchased.

6.2 Proper credit must be provided where reasonably possible.


7. Client Responsibilities

7.1 The Client is responsible for obtaining all permissions required for photography to take place at the venue.

7.2 The Client must ensure compliance with safeguarding laws.

7.3 Where minors are present, the organiser is solely responsible for obtaining written parental or guardian consent for photography and commercial usage.

7.4 We accept no liability for claims arising from failure to obtain appropriate consent.


8. Public Liability Insurance

We confirm that Corrupted Lens maintains valid public liability insurance coverage.


9. Cancellations

9.1 Notice provided two (2) weeks or more prior to the event: no cancellation charge.

9.2 Notice between one (1) week and forty eight (48) hours prior: fifty percent (50%) of the agreed fee payable.

9.3 Notice less than forty eight (48) hours prior: full agreed fee payable.


10. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond reasonable control including but not limited to illness, equipment failure, venue closure, severe weather, government restrictions or acts of God.


11. Indemnity

The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Corrupted Lens against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses or legal costs arising from:

  • Unauthorised use of images
  • Failure to obtain required consents
  • Misrepresentation of our work
  • Breach of these Terms


12. Limitation of Liability

Our liability shall be limited to the total amount paid for the services.


13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
